Juiceless Joyride

My first game, made for the 48 hour GMTK 2018 game jam on the theme ‘genre without mechanic’. It is a driving game with no accelerator. Instead, collectables speed the car up to keep it moving. The player must navigate the randomly arranged level picking up these boosts and avoiding pursuant police cars for as long as possible

Made using the drag-and-drop Construct 2 engine. The engine’s simplicity necessitated creative approaches to features like the police AI which follow the player whilst generally avoiding obstacles.

Controls: Left and Right arrows to steer, Hold SPACE to drift
